The Art Crimes exhibit entitled "Femme Embers", featuring women artists of the DC area, opens September 12th at The Dunes.

What: A collection of new and recent works by Eve Hennessa, Nicole Bourgea, Yanina Angelini-Young, and Deidree Bennett.

When: Wednesday, September 12th, 2012. 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. Exhibition runs through September 30th.

Where: The Dunes. 1402 Meridian Place, N.W. Washington, D.C. 20010.

About the artists:

Eve Hennessa: Presenting sculptures, paintings, and works on paper, this show is a bit of a retrospective for Eve. If you’re lucky, you might see her perform a dance. http://www.evehennessa.com/

Nicole Bourgea: Three of Nicole’s large scale “As-Is” portraits will remain on display through September, before being given away to random folks on the street. Details on ArtBeat: http://wamu.org/programs/art_beat/12/08/31/art_beat_with_sean_rameswaram_aug_31

Deidree Bennett: Simply filling space with a couple of smoldering multi-media works.

Yanina Angelini-Young: Somaphony collaborator Yanina brings pieces so fresh, they might still be wet.
