Streets of Light
1708 Gallery invites you to the Third Annual InLight Richmond on Friday, October 22 in Richmond’s historic Shockoe Slip. From 7:30 p.m. to midnight, streets, walls, facades and interiors along Cary Street between 12th and 14th Streets and along 13th Street between Main Street and Canal will be transformed by 37 light-inspired art installations.
The evening will kick off with a Community Lantern Parade at 7:30 p.m. beginning at the James Center Atrium. At 9:00 p.m. models will present selected designs for the Wearable Art Fashion Show at the Martin Agency Patio. Wearable Art judges will announce their awards at the conclusion of the fashion show. The night will culminate with an awards ceremony at 11:00 p.m. where artists will receive recognition for Best in Show, Best in Green and People’s Choice.
While experiencing InLight Richmond 2010, you can take advantage of some of Richmond finest restaurants, many of which will feature InLight specials. Visitors are encouraged to wear cobble-stone friendly shoes.
